Warragamba school education
The SCA offers a range of programs suitable for educational groups. SCA Education Officers will adapt material and activities to suit your requirements. We are able to address a range of subjects and outcomes, including Human Society and Its Environment (HSIE), Science, Geography and special interests.
Our main Education Centre is located at Warragamba Dam. Here, your excursion is tailored to individual needs within the program of activities available at the time. Excursions normally take about two hours and may include an audiovisual presentation covering aspects of the water cycle, a visit to the historical display in the visitor information centre, an environmental activity and a visit to the dam (subject to access being available on the day).
If your group is unable to travel, SCA Education Officers can also visit you for an in-house presentation. Alternatively, other SCA sites with limited facilities can be visited.
We supply suitable worksheets before your excursion and supplementary literature is distributed at the conclusion of your visit.
