Pesticide Use Notice - Barrallier

As required under the Pesticides Regulation 2009, the Sydney Catchment Authority (SCA) gives notice of the vertebrate animal control in the SCA Barrallier property on the Wollondilly River.

The SCA contractor, Tablelands Livestock Health and Pest Authority, will use the pesticides sodium monofluroacetate (1080), strychnine cloths, and/or M44 injectors using 1080 capsules. Vertebrate pest control using baiting and trapping techniques will focus on wild dogs, feral pigs and foxes. The vertebrate pest control program is scheduled for July 2009 until June 2012.

The SCA ensures that pesticides are used safely and responsibly in public places to minimise harm to the community and the environment.
