Warragamba Dam Helicopter Tour Competition
Terms and Conditions

  1. The Promoter is the Sydney Catchment Authority, ABN 36 682 945 185, a NSW government agency.
  2. By participating in this competition individuals accept these terms and conditions.
  3. Entry is free.
  4. Entries may only be made by completing the official entry form available from the Warragamba Dam Visitor Centre and placing it in the receptacle at the Warragamba Dam Visitor Centre.
  5. The promotion opens on 3 December 2011 and closes at 3.45pm AEDST on 1 April 2012.
  6. The draw for the major prize winners will take place on 2 April 2011 at the Sydney Catchment Authority Penrith office by the Chief Executive of the Sydney Catchment Authority. The draws for weekly prize winners will take place at the Sydney Catchment Authority Penrith Office by the Senior Manager Communications of the SCA.
  7. The judge's decision of the winners will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  8. Prizes are not able to be transferred or redeemed for cash.
  9. The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of their identity and proof of residency. Identification considered suitable for verification of identity and residency shall be at the option of the Promoter.
  10. a) First major prize is a guided helicopter tour of a number of Sydney’s catchment areas and dams for up to four persons (aged over four-years-old). Children must have parental or guardian permission to participate in the flight and must be escorted by at least one supervising adult.
    b) The second, third and fourth major prizes are Gold Family Passes to the Australian National Maritime Museum, which allow unlimited entry to the museum (including vessels) for one family (two adults and up to three children) in Darling Harbour, Sydney, for 12 months.
    c) The minor prizes are 50 family passes giving free entry to the Australian National Maritime Museum (including AQUA: A Journey into the World of Water, vessels, core galleries and temporary exhibitions, subject to booking conditions, definitions and availability).
  11. The Promoter in its absolute discretion may refuse to award the first prize if the Promoter considers that the first prize winner or any nominated passenger is not in the physical or mental condition to safely participate in the prize or would endanger the safety of others.
  12. The first prize winner is responsible for all costs associated with the use of the prize including all costs associated with travel to and from the site where the helicopter departs from and returns and the cost of any insurance which the prize winner considers necessary.
  13. The first prize winner must use the prize, which is subject to availability, within three months of the draw. If the prize is not used within three months it will lapse.
  14. The first prize winner acknowledges that travel by helicopter has certain inherent risks which the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage (including any direct or consequential loss) for any damage to property, personal injury or death suffered or sustained in connection with the prize except any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  15. The Sydney Catchment Authority does not accept any liability of whatever nature, whether in contract tort or otherwise, for the acts or omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise of third party providers over which the SCA has no control.
  16. It is a condition of accepting the first prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in the form determined by the provider of the first prize.
  17. The winners will be notified by telephone and mail.
  18. If the winner of any prize is not able to be contacted after three attempts an alternative winner will be selected.
  19. Employees of the Government Service of NSW in the Sydney Catchment Authority Division and their immediate family and companies associated with the prizes are not able to participate in the competition.
  20. By entering this competition the entrant acknowledges that the Promoter may use your personal information for purposes associated with its functions and that you consent to your name and photograph being used by the Promoter or NSW government agency.
  21. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to terminate the competition at any time and without prior notice.
