Fitzroy Falls Reservoir


Fitzroy Falls Reservoir is located about 160 kilometres south-west of Sydney, near Moss Vale. The facilities at the reservoir include:

  • Picnic shelters
  • Electric barbecues
  • Toilets/disabled toilets
  • Hot water
  • Playground

Note: Land based fishing is permitted from designated parts of the eastern foreshore of Fitzroy Falls Reservoir. Campbelltown City Sportfishing Club holds a licence to use non-powered craft on Fitzroy Falls Reservoir and welcomes new members. Contact (02) 9843 9449 for details.

Sailing on Fitzroy Falls Reservoir is only available on weekends through the Southern Highlands Sailing Club (season October through to April). Day memberships are available. Contact (02) 4861 1793 for details. Other groups wishing to use the reservoir must apply to the SCA on 1300 SCA GOV (1300 722 468).

Opening hours

  • Open 24 hours a day, every day of the year
  • Please note: Access to some SCA areas may be restricted from time-to-time due to construction or operational activity, or for environmental reasons

How to get there

From Sydney, head south along the Hume Highway [F5] south towards Goulburn, and take the Mittagong to Bowral turnoff. At Bowral take the Nowra Road towards Kangaroo Valley. Fitzroy Falls Reservoir is located on the eastern side of the road, and is signposted.
