Woodford catchment area
Some areas of the Woodford catchment are now open for recreational use. The Blue Mountains National Park in the previously restricted catchment area (black outline) is now open for access.
Walkers and cyclists can access the management track that links Winbourne Road and Clearview Parade.
No pets are allowed as the lands are part of the Blue Mountains National Park.
There is no access to Woodford Dam and Lake Woodford.
Lake Woodford and the dam are Scheduled Special Area and there is no access allowed to the dam and lake. These areas are protected as a possible future water supply option for the Blue Mountains.
The map below clearly shows the newly opened area, as well as the more restricted area.
