Science

Science is vital to help the Sydney Catchment Authority (SCA) provide high quality water to its customers. The SCA has extensive statutory research requirements under the Sydney Water Catchment Management Act 1998 and the Operating Licence.

The priorities of the SCA's Science Strategic Plan 2010-2015 are to provide on-time and reliable scientific advice, tools and services for sound operational decisions to ensure a continuous supply of high quality raw water from catchments.

SCA science projects involve expert review and priority-setting work to ensure that the SCA adopts current knowledge, identifies information gaps, and builds effectively on previous work.
