Climate change impacts program
The Climate change impacts program aims to understand the impacts of climate change and ensure the Sydney Catchment Authority's water supply system continues to deliver quality water.
Key projects in the program are:
- Modelling climate change scenarios for water quality and quantity impacts
- Evaluation of climate change impacts
- Catchment response to climate change
- Understanding long–term climate variability and extreme events.
The SCA completed a comprehensive climate change impact assessment in 2010. The findings of the assessmnet are built into the SCA's business planning as part of the Corporate Sustainability Strategy.
