Stakeholder, industry and community engagement program

The Engagement program aims to ensure science in the Sydney Catchment Authority (SCA) is valued amongst peers, industry and the broader scientific network.

Key activities in the program are:

  • Stakeholder, industry and community communication
  • Partnering with external organisations.

The SCA offers opportunities for researchers from external organisations to collaborate in research projects. These collaborative research projects provide the SCA with an opportunity to access and use leading-edge technology and scientific expertise. In return, they give researchers the chance to work with a catchment and raw water management organisation on research topics of applied relevance.

The SCA is a partner organisation in a number of Australian Research Council (ARC) linkage grant projects. These may be started to supplement research from the collaborative research program, or be developed independently.

The SCA invites applications from research organisations to submit joint applications for an ARC linkage grant. Organisations must apply to the SCA three months before ARC closing dates.
